Staffing Planner – Gothenburg

Description:

The Traffic Operations Department is responsible for monitoring and managing traffic on roads and railways. As a staffing planner, you play a crucial role in ensuring that the right competence is in the right place at the right time—so Sweden continues to move forward. Job Responsibilities Would you like to join us as a new colleague? Our department creates the conditions for operational activities within the Traffic Operations Department, Trafikverket's largest operational area. We support managers in planning and staffing operational personnel and help ensure that operations run efficiently around the clock, every day of the year. During the year, we have implemented several development initiatives focused on strengthening teamwork and establishing more unified work methods to increase our efficiency. This development journey continues—and we hope you want to be part of it. As a staffing planner, you work both strategically and operationally. You plan long-term based on factors such as vacation periods, training, and periodic health examinations, while simultaneously managing short-term changes such as sick leave and other staffing challenges. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that work hour scheduling complies with applicable laws, collective agreements, and local agreements. You work on matters such as daily rest periods, weekly rest periods, and leave. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with both managers and employees. We are a national department that plans and staffs operations from north to south. Together, we ensure that the right competence is in the right place at the right time. To succeed in this role, you need experience in staffing planning and basic knowledge of labor law and contract matters. With us, you become part of an engaged team with extensive expertise in staffing, contract interpretation, and planning. Together, we find solutions even in complex situations. Qualifications Since you will be working in a team, you need to be social and communicative combined with excellent collaboration skills. The work takes place in close cooperation with managers and colleagues. Because the role involves many internal contact points, you need to be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. You are organized and have a good ability to plan and prioritize. When you prioritize and make decisions, you balance the needs of the operation with applicable laws and agreements, while also considering robustness, economics, and employee perspectives. Within the team, you rotate between tasks, which requires flexibility and the ability to prioritize. The work varies in pace and reprioritization may be needed as you switch between long-term planning and quickly handling acute situations that arise in operations. We value a positive attitude and are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a good work environment and good collaboration. We are looking for someone who has • completed upper secondary education • at least one year of current and relevant experience in staffing planning for operations that run around the clock, every day of the year • current and relevant experience working with work time regulations, collective agreements, and other agreements related to, for example, daily rest and weekly rest • current and relevant experience working with personnel administration systems • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is meriting if you have • relevant post-secondary education, for example focused on economics, production management, or HR Other Information For questions regarding the recruitment, please contact Recruiting Manager Dijana Stavreska, [email protected]. However, during the period June 17 – July 17, it is vacation time, and questions regarding the position will be answered by Tommy Nordquist, [email protected]. We certainly want to answer all incoming questions as soon as we can, but during summer there is a risk that responses may take a bit longer. Web-based tests are used as part of the selection process in this recruitment. Our planned test period is weeks 31-32 and the interview period is planned for weeks 33-34. These will take place at our regional office in Gothenburg on Vikingsgatan. The position is subject to security clearance without placement in a security classification. Employment requires a satisfactory result in the security vetting, which is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). The position is full-time, daytime 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with flexible hours and the possibility of remote work up to 2 days/week when operations permit. #LI-Hybrid Application The questions you answer when submitting your application will form the basis for the initial selection we make. If you have protected personal information, you should contact the recruiting manager so that your application is handled according to special procedures. You will find the manager's name and contact information in the announcement. Within Traffic, you work at the center of events to keep our transport system running for Sweden's thousands of travelers around the clock, year-round. We plan, manage, and monitor traffic on 98,500 km of state roads and 14,200 km of state railways. Our mission is to help ensure that roads are passable, trains arrive on time, and traffic information is current. At Trafikverket, we work to bring Sweden closer together. We believe that a combination of different experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives is the best foundation for building a workplace free from discrimination and an environment where everyone thrives and does their best. We believe in diversity where the common denominator is reliability, commitment, and courage. Because that's how we best represent our society.
