On-Call Assistant Position

On behalf of our client, we are now seeking a personal assistant for a 15-year-old girl in Avesta. You should be attentive to our client's needs and wishes. The client is looking for a positive, stable, and calm person to help her in her daily life. For us, the most important thing is that you connect with the client and her family. You should be empathetic and respect the client's privacy. You should be able to make your own decisions and have a good sense of humor. You should be responsible and easy to work with. You must also be able to step back when needed. We are looking for someone who is playful, proactive, and persistent. It is a requirement that you have experience working with children. Experience with epilepsy or familiarity with sign language/picture support in communication is a merit. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Assistance is always provided where the client is located, which may be at home, horseback riding, or traveling. The client has Dravet syndrome, which includes epilepsy, autism, and mild intellectual disability. This means she needs someone by her side at all times. As a personal assistant, you need to be able to read situations and adapt your support based on her condition. The client has 24/7 assistance, and working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. We are seeking an assistant for the summer and a substitute. There is a possibility of continued employment after the summer. Basic training in Autism and Intellectual Disability will be offered before work begins. A criminal record check will be requested.
