Summer Position, Possible Permanent Role in Fall

On behalf of our client, we are now seeking a personal assistant for a 15-year-old girl in Avesta. You should be responsive to our client's needs and wishes. You will be a positive, stable, and calm person who will help with activities such as horseback riding. You will work one-on-one with the client as well as together with existing staff when there is dual assistance during activities. For us, the most important thing is that you click with the client and her family. You should be empathetic and respect the client's integrity. You should be able to make your own decisions and have a good sense of humor. You should be responsible and easy to collaborate with. You must also be able to step back when needed. We are looking for someone who is playful, proactive, and persistent. It is a requirement that you have experience working with children; familiarity with epilepsy or experience using signs/images as communication support is a merit. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. The assistance is always provided where the client is located; in this case it will be at various activities such as horseback riding and swimming. The client has Dravet syndrome, which includes epilepsy, autism, and mild intellectual disability. This means she needs someone by her side at all times. As a personal assistant, you need to be able to read situations and adapt your support based on her condition. The client has 24-hour assistance; working hours vary between afternoons, weekends, and overnight shifts. We are looking for someone who needs extra work with possible permanent employment in the fall. Basic training in Autism and IF will be offered before work begins.
