The Swedish Prison and Probation Service (SiS) is a state authority that provides individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS youth home Eknäs is beautifully located by Lake Mälaren, approximately one mile outside Enköping. The institution receives school-age boys aged 12–16 years with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse. Eknäs has four departments, two of which are locked treatment units. One of these is specialized for boys with boundary-crossing sexually deviant behavior. We are now seeking a treatment secretary who wants to contribute to vital change. Job Description As a treatment secretary at Eknäs youth home, you will have varied and exciting work. In this role, you are responsible for documentation and treatment planning in consultation with the young person, social services, and other functions in the treatment team, such as psychologists, nurses, and treatment educators. Your main work duties include: Ensure that treatment or implementation plans, discharge plans, and final notes are created and continuously followed up and revised. Involve and engage the young person in every step of the treatment or implementation process. Anchor the treatment or implementation planning with the unit manager, group leader, treatment team, and staff at the department. Responsible for evaluating care and treatment efforts together with the young person. Plan and lead the institutions' treatment meetings, and guide treatment staff toward care and treatment goals in daily work. Coordinate, plan, and lead both internal and external coordination meetings, and cooperate with the individual's private and professional network. Coordinate work to implement needs assessments or investigations within the treatment team. Other work tasks relevant to the role as needed to create good results. The work requires high standards of independence, ability to prioritize and drive processes forward. You will work in a team with other professional groups, such as psychologists, teachers, and treatment educators. Qualifications The work requires great personal suitability, not least regarding approach and conduct. You must have: A genuine interest in treatment work. A well-grounded positive view of people. Ability to meet people in vulnerable situations, while maintaining high security awareness. Flexibility and ability to prioritize work tasks, as the operation can change rapidly. Competence Requirements: University degree of at least 210 credits in social/behavioral sciences (e.g., social work degree), or University degree of 180 credits in behavioral sciences, or Other higher education deemed to meet SiS guidelines for competency requirements in coordinating/planning treatment work. Knowledge and experience of treatment work with young people. Category B driver's license (required). Meriting: Previous work in compulsory care, investigation, or public authority functions. Experience leading staff and processes. Knowledge of legislation within the Social Services Act (SoL) or administrative law (LVU, LSU, LVM). Experience cooperating with various authorities.
