Första Steget is a small independent preschool located in Sundby, Ekerö Municipality with capacity for 40 children. The preschool is situated in a protected and calm environment surrounded by nature, with the forest as our neighbor. Already in our yard, children encounter nature in all its glory. Our yard is something special for children to play and learn in together with us as co-inquiring educators. We work with smaller groups of children and want to offer a professional, personal and secure operation where everyone has the opportunity to be seen and heard. Childcare Worker for Preschool We are now seeking an engaged and driven childcare worker who wants to become part of our team. At our preschool, you will meet an environment where we see the competent child and are co-inquirers in children's learning. Qualifications You are a trained childcare worker with pedagogical insight and a strong interest in children's development and learning. You have a professional approach and the ability to build good relationships with children, colleagues and guardians. You are organized, self-directed and have good organizational skills. You spread joy in work and contribute to a positive and developing work environment. You have good collaboration skills and see the value of working together as a team. If you have experience or knowledge of Reggio Emilia's pedagogical philosophy, that is a merit. Job Responsibilities At the preschool, we work during the day with children in smaller groups to create an intimate setting. This means you need to be comfortable independently leading instruction for a small group of children. The work includes planning together with preschool teachers, independent responsibility for implementation and documentation. Independent responsibility for writing blog posts related to your teaching group, follow-up and evaluation of instruction in our operation together with your colleagues and principal. You will work closely with preschool teachers, childcare workers and principal toward the goals in the curriculum, the preschool's overall philosophy, our vision and municipal guidelines. Together with other colleagues at the preschool, you contribute to a positive, meaningful and developing environment for each child and for the entire group. You are active in your relationship with the children and in their play. We work both outdoors and indoors daily throughout all seasons. In daily contact with guardians, you are engaged with a clear child focus.
