Tranås Municipality is implementing a targeted, cross-departmental initiative from 2024-2028 focused on young people in the municipality, with the overarching goal of creating a safe environment for children to grow up in. Through the project Targeted Interventions for School Attendance, new working methods are being developed where health promotion and preventative work through collaboration are the guiding principles. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will help continue developing the project's working methods, with your main task being to work on young people's motivation regarding school and leisure activities. The work will take place at both group and individual levels, striving to create meaningful school experiences and leisure time for children. At the group level, this includes group activities and providing information to students at school, both during and after school hours. During school hours, you will work at the individual level with specific children to increase their motivation and desire to attend school by offering activities outside the school's regular program, giving each child an opportunity to shine. In addition to working with children, the role involves significant contact with guardians. The position includes participating in driving school-wide projects and working in a compensatory manner, serving as a bridge between children/guardians and various actors within the municipality and leisure sector. You will both initiate and participate in collaborative projects for and with children and young people, working with other actors in the culture and leisure department such as the library, swimming hall, and music school, as well as with the individual and employment services department, sports associations, and others. Since the project works closely with the municipality's youth activities, assignments may also arise within that sector. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education in social or educational work, or alternatively other education or experience that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. It is advantageous to have a local network and knowledge of the municipality's work with children and young people, as well as the municipality's community organizations. In addition to education and professional experience, we would like you to have skills and interests that can enhance the overall competence of the work group. We place great importance on personal suitability. ABOUT THE WORKPLACE You will be part of a team consisting of five people, including one project leader. The group works closely together with the common mission to work preventatively and promotively with a focus on school attendance. The arena is largely the school, but with the intention to think broadly and include both the leisure sector and the individual and employment services department, as well as civil society.
