Tranås Municipality is implementing a focused, cross-departmental initiative from 2024-2028 aimed at the municipality's young people, with the overarching goal of creating a safe environment for children in the municipality. Through the project Targeted Interventions for School Attendance, new working methods are being developed where health promotion and preventive work through collaboration are the guiding principles. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will help continue developing the project's working methods, with your main task being to work with young people's motivation toward school and leisure activities. The work will take place at both group and individual levels, promoting meaningful school experiences and leisure time for children. At the group level, this involves group activities and information sessions for students at school, both during and after school hours. During school hours, you will work at the individual level with specific children to increase their motivation and enthusiasm for school by offering them activities outside the school's regular program, where children have the opportunity to shine. In addition to direct contact with children, the work involves extensive contact with guardians. The role includes participating in school-wide projects and working compensatorily as a bridge between children/guardians and various municipal actors and leisure organizations. You both initiate and participate in collaborative projects for and with children and young people together with other actors within culture and leisure services such as the library, swimming pool, and music school, as well as with individual and employment services, sports associations, and others. Since the project collaborates closely with the municipality's youth activities, assignments may also occur within that service area. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in social or educational work, or alternatively other education or experience that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. It is an asset to have a local network and knowledge of the municipality's work with children and young people as well as the municipality's community organizations. Beyond education and professional experience, we would appreciate if you have knowledge or interests that can enhance the overall competence of the work group. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. ABOUT THE WORKPLACE You will be part of a team consisting of five people, including a project manager. The group works closely together with the common mission of working preventively and promotively with a focus on school attendance. The arena is largely the school, but with an approach that thinks broadly and includes both the leisure sector, individual and employment services, and civil society.
