About the Service: Kompassen Accompaniment & Respite Care is a service operated according to the LSS law. We have only on-demand employees, several of whom are family members. The service is aimed at children and adults who need support to participate in social activities or to provide relief to parents of children with disabilities. Respite Care: This assignment means that as a respite caregiver, you work with younger children in their homes or nearby areas. The assignment aims to relieve the child's parents so they can rest, shop, or spend time with siblings. Accompaniment: This assignment means that as an accompaniment worker, you accompany the client in everyday activities. This could be support on the bus ride to college or helping the client participate in their leisure interests. You may have several different assignments, both as a respite caregiver and accompaniment worker. Assignments are based on a certain number of hours per month. Work Tasks: As a respite caregiver, you support families with children who have disabilities by creating a safe and stimulating environment. The assignment may involve play, crafts, and activities in the home or nearby areas, with a focus on providing the child with a meaningful and enjoyable time. For this assignment, we are seeking two respite caregivers who work together. This is a double-staffed assignment with a total of 24 hours per month. We are looking for two engaged and active people who together want to support a 7-year-old boy in his daily life and leisure time. He is cheerful, active, and loves to run, jump, bike, and explore the world around him. He has a strong interest in letters, animals, and language. Qualifications: Experience working with people with various disabilities or from care and healthcare Knowledge and experience within the autism spectrum Meritorious background in pedagogy specializing in children and disability services Personal Qualities: You work toward results, demonstrate reliability, and take responsibility for planning and follow-up of your work You strengthen relationships by helping others, collaborating, following rules and processes, and sharing information You develop, improve, seek solutions, learning, and knowledge on your own initiative You are the connector, provide service, show loyalty externally and internally, and monitor the environment Common values are evident in your demeanor You are flexible, accommodating, and empathetic and can work with a low-key approach You are active and in good physical condition while remaining calm and confident in managing active situations.
