Avarn Security has the responsibility of delivering security services to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, which includes staffing Airport Security Officers, Security Guards, and Security Personnel. We offer you an exciting position as an Airport Security Officer at one of Sweden's largest workplaces. Work Hours: Varying Work Location: Arlanda Airport Duration: Part-time indefinite position; 6-month probationary period applies Start Date: By agreement Salary: According to collective agreement You will work at Arlanda Airport in the security checkpoints as an Airport Security Officer. In this role, your main responsibility is to work with colleagues to ensure that no unauthorized persons pass through security and that all prohibited items are stopped. As an Airport Security Officer, it is important that you are attentive, stress-resilient, and have a strong security mindset. We see you as a responsible person with great focus on your work. The work is physically demanding, and during a workday you will be standing and walking most of the time. There is also some heavy lifting involved. As a person, you are cheerful and positive and enjoy working with people. You want to contribute to providing professional treatment to everyone, from the seasoned business traveler to families embarking on their first trip. You are able to balance security and service, thereby creating safety for both travelers and colleagues through your strong security mindset. The employment begins with mandatory training lasting 3 weeks with both theoretical and practical components. Avarn covers the training costs, and you will be paid during this period. After completing your training and probation with satisfactory results, you will have the opportunity to begin working. Work hours vary, and you must be prepared to work very early mornings, with typical start times at 03:50. You work shifts according to a fixed schedule, including both weekdays and weekends. To be considered for this position, you must: - Be of legal age - Hold Swedish citizenship - Have no criminal record* and be law-abiding - Communicate well in Swedish and English - Be in good health and physical condition - Have no payment defaults or unpaid debts - Have a passing final grade in at least Swedish 1 and English 5 at the upper secondary school level or equivalent education level - Have functioning color vision and hearing * To be employed at Avarn Security AB, you must be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment at an authorized security company in accordance with the Security Companies Act (1974:191). The application to the County Administrative Board is handled by Avarn Security. Depending on the position, a security vetting under the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements of the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. This assessment includes lawfulness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any potential vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, from public sources, or from authorities. When assessing suitability for a position, we always apply a holistic evaluation.
