The Rehabilitation Unit Ystad serves all inpatient departments at Lasarettet in Ystad. The area of responsibility also includes rehabilitation within specialized outpatient care and specialized day rehabilitation at the hospital. The unit consists of approximately 40 employees with different professions, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, assistant nurses, and nurses. WORK TASKS We look forward to welcoming you as an occupational therapist and colleague to our team in day rehabilitation! Our activities offer specialized outpatient rehabilitation for people of different ages. The most common diagnoses are stroke, other neurological diseases, and cognitive impairment. Work in Specialized Day Rehabilitation can, based on interest, be complemented with work in another part of the unit. In our day rehabilitation, we work closely together in a team consisting of several professions: physician, physiotherapist, social worker, rehabilitation assistant nurse, and nurse. Work is conducted from a person-centered perspective. You analyze and assess the patient's ability to perform daily activities in the areas of personal care, housing, work/education, and leisure. Rehabilitation includes measures such as assessment, training, education, compensatory measures in the form of aids, support services, and environmental modifications aimed at achieving the goals formulated together with the patient. We have access to various training and assessment environments, from consultation rooms to gymnasiums, kitchens, basic carpentry workshops, and gardens. Work hours are scheduled for daytime, Monday to Friday, and include occasional weekend shifts at infrequent intervals. In this position, you will also have the opportunity to expand your skills to work with other departments as needed. Mentoring of occupational therapy students may also be part of the position. Your employment will begin with an individually tailored orientation and plan for continued professional development. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. We would like to see that you have experience in neurological rehabilitation. Additional qualifications in stroke, cognitive impairment, or lymphatic therapy are merits. We also consider it a merit if you have worked with the Melior journal system and have basic computer skills. As a person, we see that you have a genuine interest in people and always work with the patient in focus. Additionally, you are engaged, driven, have good organizational skills, and want to contribute to the continued development of our operations together with us. You have good collaboration and initiative skills and flexibility to quickly adapt to changed circumstances or needs, and you enjoy creative and varied work.
