The My Future Project My Future is a project run by the Employment Unit with the aim of supporting individuals in taking steps closer to the labor market and increasing their participation in society. The project is financed by the Coordination Association in Uppsala County and targets people aged 16–66 who are registered as residents of Tierp Municipality and who are far from the labor market. The project runs until December 31, 2027. The target group consists of people who need coordinated efforts and individually tailored support to progress to work or studies, move closer to the labor market, or participate in regular rehabilitation services from relevant authorities. Through close collaboration between the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and Region Uppsala County, good conditions are created for participants to receive the right support based on their needs. The coordinated efforts contribute to a holistic perspective where the individual's resources, opportunities, and goals are central. The project has a dedicated team consisting of a project coordinator, two career counselors, and an occupational therapist. To further strengthen support for participants, the project is now being expanded with an employment consultant, enabling even more individual and labor-market-oriented work. My Future strives to create sustainable paths forward for each participant – with the goal that more people will achieve financial independence, strengthened autonomy, and increased participation in society. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an employment consultant, you work within a project aimed at supporting participants in moving closer to the labor market and eventually progressing to work or studies. You are part of a project team where collaboration and a shared focus on the individual's development are central. In this role, you are responsible for matching participants with suitable work training placements based on their individual circumstances, needs, and goals. You actively work to identify, establish, and develop contacts with businesses and organizations to create sustainable and high-quality work training placements. An important part of the assignment is to be the project's representative with companies. You build and maintain good relationships with employers and ensure that both the participants' and companies' needs are met. Through dialogue and follow-up, you create good conditions for effective work training. You are also responsible for assessing workplace opportunities and adapting arrangements so that participants receive meaningful and developmental placements. Your colleagues introduce participants, follow up on their progress, and provide support to both participants and supervisors as needed, while you address the employer's wishes and needs. In your work, you collaborate closely with the Employment Unit's employer team to coordinate contacts, share knowledge, and strengthen relationships with the business community. QUALIFICATIONS Driver's license (Category B) required - Business visits will be frequent both within the municipality, which is geographically large, and in neighboring municipalities. Education: Post-secondary education that meets and is relevant to the assignment and the target group's needs is desirable. Tierp Municipality is part of the Finnish administrative area. If, in addition to our other competency requirements, you also speak Finnish, that could be an asset. Employment Type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: Start date: 2026-10-01, End date: 2027-12-31. Working Hours: Daytime.
