Your assignment as Operations Manager In your role as Operations Manager within the Operations Division, your assignment is to further develop and strengthen operations by building and leading a well-functioning AC group with expertise and experience in operations and maintenance activities, such as winter road maintenance, pavement-related work, and ongoing road and infrastructure maintenance. You work actively to develop market efforts, participate in bid and estimation work, win new maintenance contracts, and ensure correct staffing and competence through recruitment and employee development. As an operations manager, you plan, lead, and follow up operations in line with the company's strategy, goals, and values. You have full responsibility for the operations manager area's budget, forecast, and results, and you promote an efficient and quality implementation organization with a focus on profitability, delivery reliability, and customer satisfaction. An important part of the role is to nurture and develop long-term relationships with existing customers and clients, while actively representing and marketing Svevia in the region. Safety is always the highest priority at Svevia, and as an operations manager, you have clear responsibility for the work environment and environmental matters in accordance with delegated tasks. You promote a safe workplace, a strong safety culture, and a sustainable approach throughout operations. You report to the Regional Manager for the Central region and are part of the regional management group, where you contribute to a holistic perspective, collaboration, and the region's continued development from day one. Placement by agreement at one of Svevia's offices within the Central region. Who are you? We are looking for someone who enjoys building up and developing both operations and people. To succeed with that requires skill in leadership, business acumen, as well as nurturing and developing customer relationships. We see these as basic requirements: • Experience in operations and maintenance in a leading position with both personnel and budget responsibility • Experience in estimation and contract matters and the ability to assess risks and opportunities in the bidding phase We also believe you need to feel comfortable in these areas: • Work environment and safety • Building teams and organizational development • Market work and relationship-building with new customers • Monitoring of finances and working methods in road and construction projects You are market and business-oriented with strong leadership qualities and a clear and trustworthy communication style. This means that you always keep the business and profitability at the center while bringing all your employees along on the journey. If you have relevant higher education, such as a degree in civil engineering or engineering, we consider that a merit. As you can understand, leadership is an important matter for us!
