IPSU - Individual Pedagogical Support in Education is a valuable and high-quality service that the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) procures with the ultimate goal of taking its strategic responsibility in labor market policy by enabling more people to successfully complete training in various shortage occupations. To make educational initiatives accessible to job seekers with disabilities, the Swedish Public Employment Service, with our support, offers specialized pedagogical support in the form of IPSU. Read more about the assignment on our website: www.akgsverige.se As an IPSU Pedagogue, you will work most closely with our participants under the guidance of our special education teacher. The assignments vary greatly and may involve a pedagogical setup where you meet with the participant several hours every day or just a few hours per week. The pedagogical support for each participant takes place at various educational providers, which means a varied and developmental work day, so it is important that you enjoy a changing work situation. In some educational programs, some lessons take place in outdoor environments. Your task is to help the participant gain the conditions to succeed in their studies through specialized pedagogical methods and the use of technical aids, apps, etc. You are a complement to the regular teacher and are not expected to teach or possess knowledge of the subjects in the current curriculum. The role essentially involves: • Pedagogical work supporting (1) participant in an educational situation • Collaboration and dialogue with staff at various organizations conducting educational initiatives relevant to our participants, such as teachers at labor market training providers • Participation in collegial forums, follow-ups, and quality work • Collaboration and dialogue with various organizations conducting educational initiatives relevant to our participants, such as teachers at labor market training providers, Folk High Schools, and preparatory education programs • Collaboration with responsible specialists such as audiologists, special education teachers, vision teachers, sign language specialists, or licensed occupational therapists • Reporting and documentation of completed initiatives in various systems Your work day will be flexible, challenging, and highly meaningful!
