JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Senior Social Worker on the Adult Services Unit, you will be based at Maria Nova's facilities in central Mariestad. On this unit, we work with clients dealing with substance abuse issues, social psychiatry, homelessness, intimate partner violence, and other social matters. In the work group, social workers collaborate with reception secretaries across all areas. You will also work towards outpatient care at the addiction center. As a Senior Social Worker, you will support method development, distribute cases, conduct case reviews and case supervision, and provide guidance on Social Services Act and Care of Abusers Act related matters. An important part of the work is also environmental monitoring, where you create and revise guidelines and procedures based on changes in laws governing public administration, such as the new Social Services Act. QUALIFICATIONS For the position of Senior Social Worker, we are seeking someone who: • Has a degree in Social Work or equivalent educational background • Has previous work experience from social services and public administration • Holds a valid driver's license (category B) Meritorious are previous leadership experience and training in methods related to the unit you are interested in working within. Since the work largely involves supervision and method development, you need to have a good ability to both convey information, teach methods, and strengthen your colleagues' competencies. You do this in an inspiring and motivating manner. As a Senior Social Worker, you will handle acute situations where you are expected to prioritize and delegate based on the laws and regulations governing our operations. We see that you have good structure in your work and are flexible and creative to adapt to meetings, situations, and unexpected days.
